Our Story

My story starts in Mississippi where I grew up in Pineville. I grew up on a farm where working was a part of the lifestyle ever since I was a kid. But my passion started at 8 years old when I was diagnosed with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease. I had 2 reconstructive surgeries at 8 and 10. The realization as a kid that I would never be the best at something physical is what gave me a fire so to speak because being the best is what I dreamed about. Despite doctors’ orders to not push it, I played football in high school, snowboarded in Colorado almost every Christmas, and eventually turned into cheering in Junior College, then onto D1 where I cheered for my favorite school, Mississippi State and graduated with a bachelors in Health fitness studies. As I cheered, I began to love the challenge of it and made it a career choice as I began to develop my skills in all things tumbling, biomechanics, and gymnastics techniques. I choose to use my frustration of never being able to be my best physically, and turn it into a fiery passion of helping others achieve their best!

As I began on working my career path out of college, I worked for a gym in Meridian, Mississippi, running tumble classes and worked with All Stars squads honing my skills as a coach. But I realized to make the difference I wanted to make, I needed to have some type of ownership of the business which is a huge step. Shortly after that, covid happened turning everyone’s world upside down. So I decided to move where I enjoyed, Colorado! That’s when I met Cat Dalla at Columbine Gymnastics. She took me seriously when I said I’d like to have it and keep pursuing my dream of ownership. I took a year working and learning the ends-and-outs of the business and took over in May of 2024 and the rest is history!

Now as Mt Magnolia Academy, I want to still keep building as a gymnastics program but also make an All Star Cheer program that not only helps you become your best but also gives a pathway to help pay for college with scholarship opportunities the same way I did in my own life.
