What Is All-Star Cheerleading?

All‑Star Cheerleading is a dynamic, performance-based sport that blends tumbling, stunting, pyramids, jumps, dance, and showmanship into a high-energy competition routine lasting approximately 2½ minutes. Teams consist of 5–36 athletes and are organized by age, skill level, and division, ranging from Tiny Novice levels to Elite, governed by the U.S. All Star Federation (USASF).

How It Differs From High School Cheer

Unlike traditional high school or sideline cheerleading, which centers on school spirit, chants, and support at sporting events, All‑Star Cheer is exclusively focused on competitive routines performed at regional, national, and international events.

Routines in All‑Star are designed to be visually striking and technically demanding, complete with precision tumbling, complex stunts, and synchronized choreography set to music – often performed in large arenas under spotlighted competition settings.
